Silent Line developed the RAIL ELEMENT to decouple the partition walls from the floor structure in accommodation areas. By doing this we reduce the radiated structure borne noise levels (becoming air borne noise levels) and reduce the overall noise level in accommodation areas.

The RAIL ELEMENT is produced as an upper and lower marine plywood (12 layers) to make it very stiff with a elastomer core material in between to reduce structure borne noise.

Two different elastomer materials are foreseen, one for single coupled walls and another elastomer for decoupled walls as weight various between both walls.
