Elegance Engine Room Insulation PackageRide with the wind means low noise levels at outer deck area. VanDutch is using Ultra Lightweight and Fire Resistant materials inside the engine room achieving this goal.
Engine Room noise can go up to 115 dB (A) at full speed which must be reduced to comfort class level at outer deck.
The Engine Room Insulation Package (E.R.I.P) is based on high end sound absorbing | sound insulating products and fire resistant in order to protect your Yacht in case of need.

The S-Line comfort package contains special elastic mounting for the main engines and gearboxes.
As we have to absorb the thrust emitted by the propellers the previous stiff mounts are replaced by soft high volume mounts providing us much more deflection and therefor limited transmission of vibrations into the ship structure.

The S-Line package offers a double elastic mounting system for generator set. By means of this system we offer high comfort levels during anchor condition.
VanDutch 55 S-Line
Anti-Vibration PackageExhaust gases at idle and maneuvering speed run through the by-pass above waterline. In order to create the Ultimate Comfort the S-Line comfort package contains custom build Thin-Line mufflers as shown below.
These mufflers | silencers provide up to 45 dB noise reduction meaning noise levels below 50 dB (A) at outer deck area while cruising at low rpm.

Exhaust System
The VanDutch 55 S-Line performance package contains custom 5-bladed skew back propellers with interceptors.
Achieving the ultimate speed is one however to combine this with comfort (low vibration levels) is not easy.
VanDutch is using special propellers with a Blade Area Ratio (B.A.R.) close to 100%, skew back design and Tip unloading for low excitation against the ship structure and interceptors to tune the system.

High Performance Propellers
The S-Line performance package contains a Intercooled Engine Room Ventilation Package with T.P (Temperature | Pressure) control. Instead of fans blowing ambient outside air into the engine room, VanDutch is using a custom build FCU system using sea water cooled (glycol) which is running through a coil and blown into the engine room.
The temperature of this air is around 20o degrees Celsius which gives more horsepower to the engines and less fuel consumption.
