Numarine Yachts, special version of the 26XP project May 2021

The 26XP Numarine Yacht is a full composite Yacht with twin MAN engines. Upon request of the client the Silent Line Comfort Plus Package (C.P.P) if offered in which we achieve 51 dB(A) in the Master Stateroom forward of the engine room at 9 knots.
Upon request of a special client, we increased the C.P.P by adding additional sound deadening at the hull sides, sound absorbing foam and sound reducing sandwich panels at the hull sides and modified the engine and gearbox foundation along with adding a flexible coupling between the gearbox and the propeller shaft. Silent Line performed inhouse noise prediction using special inhouse designed software in which we predicted to achieve 47 dB(A) instead of 51 dB(A). The table below shows the measured noise levels in which we achieved 47.5 dB(A) while cruising, 0.5 dB(A) difference compared with our noise prediction.
